Start a First Horizon login from firsthorizon.com, open Log in, and select the service attached to your account. This independent guide is not affiliated with First Horizon Bank and cannot access or alter customer profiles.

Read the screen before using recovery. Personal Digital Banking, Small Business, Corporate, mortgage applications, and protected service forms display different field names because they do not all use the same authentication route.

What First Horizon is

First Horizon Bank is a U.S. financial institution with personal, business, corporate, mortgage, trust, and investment-related services. Its banking pages identify First Horizon Bank as a Member FDIC and Equal Housing Lender.

The broad search “First Horizon” usually leads to one practical task: enter Digital Banking, establish online access, recover an existing profile, continue a mortgage application, or reach support.

These paths split early.

Identify the page from its labels

A customer can often determine the correct system without entering anything. Look at the visible field names and recovery controls.

What appears on screenLikely First Horizon service

Small-business service selectorSmall Business banking or reporting
Corporate selector and User ID is requiredCorporate banking or investment service
Email, Password, Trouble signing in?Mortgage application

First Horizon’s personal page displays a service selector, User ID, Password, Login, Enroll for access, and Forgot ID or password. Its Corporate page also uses a selector but adds the validation messages User Id is required and Password is required when those fields are left empty.

The mortgage portal is visibly different. It asks for Email and Password, offers Trouble signing in?, and describes the account as a place to view loan status or complete next steps.

Do this first: match the labels. Skip a password reset when the page belongs to another First Horizon product.

A person may legitimately have a Digital Banking User ID and a separate mortgage profile. Using the wrong account on a real First Horizon page can resemble a failed credential even though neither account is disabled.

Decide between enrollment and recovery

Enrollment is for a customer who has not yet created Digital Banking access. Recovery is for a profile that already exists.

The First Horizon recovery page says customers without a User ID must enroll in online banking. Customers who already have access begin from Forgot User ID Or Password, where the process distinguishes between account types.

Use this decision:

  • You previously entered Digital Banking successfully: choose recovery.
  • You have a bank relationship but never created a User ID: choose enrollment.
  • You are returning to a mortgage application: use Trouble signing in? on that portal.
  • You use a corporate or treasury product: choose its assigned service.
  • A banking form shows Before you continue: use the support route described on that screen.

Short section. Important distinction.

Opening another bank account is not the same task as enrolling in Digital Banking. First Horizon maintains separate application pages for new products, while Enroll for access belongs to online account access.

Recover an existing Digital Banking profile

Open First Horizon from its main domain and select Forgot ID or password beneath the appropriate banking service. The dedicated recovery page is titled Forgot User ID Or Password and tells customers without an existing User ID to enroll instead.

First Horizon also publishes a Small Business demonstration specifically for forgotten User IDs and passwords. That bank-hosted material is preferable to a third-party walkthrough whose links or interface may be outdated.

Use a controlled order:

  1. Confirm whether the profile is personal or business.
  2. Confirm that it worked previously.
  3. Open recovery through First Horizon.
  4. Complete the bank’s identity-check process.
  5. Return to a new Digital Banking session.

Do not change several variables together. Resetting access, reinstalling an application, deleting browser data, and starting another enrollment in one sitting makes it harder to determine which profile or device caused the failure.

Priority one: recover the correct User ID. Skip ordinary sign-in attempts while you remain uncertain which First Horizon service created it.

The Digital Banking recovery page currently publishes 800-511-9160 as its contact number, while First Horizon’s broader customer-service pages commonly publish 800-382-5465. Use the number displayed on the bank page relevant to the task rather than relying on a number copied from an unrelated search result.

Understand the “Before you continue” page

Some First Horizon customer-service requests lead to an authentication screen headed Before you continue.

The screen explains that the online form is for customers and asks for a Digital Banking Username and Password. Empty submissions display Please enter a value for Username and Please enter a value for Password. Customers without Digital Banking credentials are directed to a branch or 800-382-5465.

This is a concrete point of confusion. A customer may select a support request, begin the process, and then assume the bank has created a second login because another authentication page appears.

It has not necessarily done so. The bank is protecting an account-related request with the customer’s existing Digital Banking access.

Use the Digital Banking profile if that screen was reached through a valid First Horizon support workflow. Skip mortgage, trust, or corporate credentials unless the page specifically names that service.

Customers who can already sign in have another route. First Horizon instructs them to open the Messages icon, select the Secure Messages tab, and choose Send Us a Secure Message for account-specific questions.

Compare website and mobile access

First Horizon says current Digital Banking customers are automatically enrolled for Mobile Banking and should use their existing Digital Banking credentials in the mobile service. The bank supports access through its downloadable app and a mobile web browser.

The mobile app is offered to personal and Small Business customers. Its published features include account balances, check deposits, bill payments, transfers, budgets, spending tracking, and alerts.

That creates a practical diagnostic map:

  • Website and app both fail: inspect the Digital Banking profile or recovery path.
  • Website works but the app fails: inspect the current app and stored mobile session.
  • App works but the website fails: reopen First Horizon from its main domain and test another current browser.
  • Personal access works but Corporate does not: check the selected corporate service.
  • Login works but a feature is absent: check product eligibility rather than replacing credentials.

Do not reinstall the app first. Confirm whether the same profile works through another First Horizon access route, then isolate the failing device or service.

Some functions depend on the customer’s account, enrollment, and service setup. For example, First Horizon’s Bill Pay instructions direct customers to sign in and select the Bill Pay/Transfers tab, but the appearance of a feature should not be assumed across every product.

Handle application-page errors separately

The First Horizon online account-application system can display Hmm… looks like something went wrong and We apologize for the inconvenience. Its published recovery suggestions include refreshing the page or moving to the saved-application page.

That message belongs to the application system, not ordinary Digital Banking.

A customer opening a saved account application should not respond by resetting an established Digital Banking User ID. The correct action is tied to the application page and the support information presented there.

Same brand. Different workflow.

Check the heading and page purpose before deciding that the banking login has failed.

Treat unexpected activity as a security problem

An unfamiliar alert or account event should move the issue out of routine troubleshooting.

First Horizon’s fraud guidance advises customers to change their User ID and password periodically and to act when potentially suspicious activity appears.

Do not approve an action you did not initiate. Do not follow an unexpected message back to a supposed bank login, even when its design resembles First Horizon.

Return to firsthorizon.com manually or use established banking records to contact the institution. Keep ordinary support messages free of authentication information.

First Horizon’s support hub provides FAQs, customer-service requests, and contact options. Its secure-message instructions direct signed-in customers to the Messages icon and Secure Messages tab for account-specific correspondence.

Security comes first. Skip browser cleanup when unauthorized activity is already suspected.

Know which support number fits the page

First Horizon publishes different numbers for different contexts.

The Digital Banking recovery page currently lists 800-511-9160. The general questions-and-comments page and protected Before you continue screen list 800-382-5465.

Use the number from the relevant First Horizon page:

  • Recovery screen problem: use the recovery-page contact.
  • General banking assistance: use the general support route.
  • Account-specific question while signed in: use Secure Messages.
  • No Digital Banking access for a protected form: call or visit a branch as instructed.
  • Mortgage application problem: use the support options displayed by the mortgage portal.

The bank’s questions-and-comments form also says attachments will not be received and asks customers to use text for the message.

When describing an access issue, name the service and last successful screen. “Corporate login shows User Id is required after submission” is more useful than “First Horizon is broken.”

FDIC status depends on the product

First Horizon’s personal login page displays the FDIC-insured designation for banking services. The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation is the U.S. agency responsible for deposit insurance within applicable legal limits and account-ownership categories.

The login menu can also route users to trust, investment, and wealth-related services. Shared First Horizon branding does not mean every linked financial product is an insured deposit.

Read the product disclosure.

Coverage and service availability may vary by product and region.

Frequently asked questions

Where should I begin?

Start at firsthorizon.com.

What does “Enroll for access” mean?

It creates Digital Banking access for an eligible customer who does not yet have a User ID. Customers with an existing profile should use the recovery route instead.

Why does one First Horizon page ask for email?

The mortgage application portal uses Email and Password because it is a separate system for viewing loan status and completing application steps. Personal Digital Banking uses a User ID.

Is the Corporate login different?

Yes. The Corporate page has its own banking and investment service selector and shows User ID, Password, and Forgot ID or password.

Why does a support form ask me to log in?

Some customer requests are protected by Digital Banking authentication. The Before you continue screen asks for the existing Digital Banking profile and directs customers without access to call or visit a branch.

Can I use the same profile in Mobile Banking?

Current Digital Banking customers are automatically enrolled for Mobile Banking and use their existing credentials, according to First Horizon.

What if the application page says something went wrong?

Use the application page’s published recovery choices, such as refreshing it or opening the saved-application page. Do not assume the message concerns your ordinary Digital Banking account.

Which customer-service number should I use?

Use the number displayed on the relevant First Horizon page. The Digital Banking recovery page lists 800-511-9160, while general support pages list 800-382-5465.
