First Horizon Sign-In Help by Account and Service

First Horizon customers should begin at firsthorizon.com, select Log in, and choose the banking or investment service they actually use. This independent guide is not First Horizon Bank and cannot access, recover, or modify customer accounts.

Do this first: identify the service. The First Horizon login page covers Digital Banking, mortgage access, commercial services, trust services, and investment platforms, so the wrong selection can look like a password problem even when the account itself is working.

What First Horizon is

First Horizon Bank is a U.S. financial institution offering personal, small-business, commercial, mortgage, trust, wealth-management, and related services. Banking products and services are provided by First Horizon Bank, Member FDIC and Equal Housing Lender.

The keyword “First Horizon” often signals a navigational search. Most people want to reach Digital Banking, recover a User ID, enroll for online access, or find the correct customer-service route.

Not every product shares one account.

Choose the correct First Horizon login

The bank’s personal login page contains a service selector followed by the fields User ID and Password. It also provides Login, Enroll for access, and Forgot ID or password.

The dedicated Digital Banking page at digital.firsthorizon.com displays Enter User ID, Enter Password, Show, and Forgot User ID/Password.

Use the service selector before entering account information.

Existing profile recoveryForgot ID or password

First Horizon maintains a separate Small Business login page for Digital Banking and business reporting services. Mortgage applicants also have a different portal whose form uses Email, Password, Trouble signing in?, and Sign in.

That split is easy to miss. A customer may successfully use an email address for a mortgage application while personal Digital Banking expects the bank’s User ID.

Confirm the product first. Skip repeated password attempts on a page meant for another service.

Enroll for Digital Banking or recover access?

These links solve different problems.

Choose Enroll for access when you have an eligible First Horizon relationship but have not established Digital Banking credentials. First Horizon says enrollment is generally completed in about five minutes. Its enrollment information tells customers to have a debit or ATM card, an account number, and an email address available.

Choose Forgot ID or password when a Digital Banking profile already exists but its sign-in information is no longer known or accepted. The recovery page begins by asking what type of First Horizon account the customer has.

Do not confuse enrollment with opening a deposit account. Enrollment adds digital access to an existing eligible relationship; it does not replace the bank’s account-opening process.

A common mistake is selecting password recovery when no User ID was ever created. The reverse also happens: an existing Digital Banking customer starts another enrollment instead of recovering the established profile.

Use one path. Skip creating duplicate access unless First Horizon instructs you to do so.

Recover a forgotten User ID or password

Open First Horizon from its main website and select Forgot ID or password under the Digital Banking form. The recovery service asks the customer to identify the applicable account type before presenting the next step.

First Horizon also publishes separate demonstrations called Forgot User ID or Password for online and mobile banking. These are safer reference points than third-party videos that may show an outdated interface or send users through an unofficial page.

Keep the recovery process inside First Horizon’s domain. Do not follow an unexpected password-reset message merely because it includes the bank’s name or logo.

The priority is narrow: recover the existing User ID or password. Skip ordinary login retries when you are no longer certain which User ID belongs to the account.

First Horizon Digital Banking will not load

A loading problem is not automatically an account problem.

Close the failed tab and open firsthorizon.com manually. Select Log in again and confirm that the service selector, User ID, Password, and recovery links load normally.

Next, compare the scope:

  • Does the main First Horizon website open?
  • Does the Digital Banking page load in another current browser?
  • Does the First Horizon mobile app open?
  • Is one account affected, or are multiple users reporting trouble?
  • Does the failure happen before or after the password field?

Change one variable at a time. Clearing every browser setting at once can remove evidence that helps distinguish a stored-session issue from an account-recovery problem.

First Horizon’s security guidance recommends keeping operating systems, browsers, applications, and security software current. It also advises against using public Wi-Fi to access sensitive financial information.

Scheduled maintenance may temporarily affect Digital Banking, telephone banking, or ATM services. When several access methods fail together, check current communications from First Horizon rather than starting repeated recovery attempts.

Use the First Horizon mobile app

First Horizon’s mobile banking service is available to personal and small-business customers. Published app functions include viewing balances, depositing checks, paying bills, transferring funds, setting alerts, tracking spending, and managing budgets.

Existing Digital Banking customers use their current credentials in Mobile Banking. First Horizon says those customers are automatically enrolled for mobile access rather than being required to establish an unrelated mobile profile.

A website login that works while the app fails points toward the app installation, stored session, device, or service availability rather than immediate proof of a disabled bank profile.

Check the current app first. Skip downloading similarly named applications from advertisements or unofficial pages.

Mobile Deposit and other features may be subject to eligibility, account, device, or service conditions. Availability can also vary according to the customer’s product and region.

Treat unexpected codes and alerts as suspicious

A banking login problem becomes a security matter when an unexpected alert, push notification, or authentication code appears.

First Horizon advises customers who receive activity they did not initiate to change their User ID and password. Its guidance gives examples including an email alert, push notification, or one-time passcode generated without customer action.

Stop immediately.

Do not approve an unfamiliar action merely to dismiss the message. Do not call a number contained only in the suspicious communication.

Return to First Horizon through a known route and contact the bank. Report the exact type of alert and the approximate time it appeared, but keep authentication information out of ordinary messages.

Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation coverage applies to eligible deposit products within legal limits and ownership categories. It does not mean every First Horizon-branded investment, insurance, or annuity product is FDIC-insured. The bank’s login and disclosure pages separate deposit services from non-deposit financial products.

Contact First Horizon safely

First Horizon publishes 800-382-5465 for customer assistance and repeats that number across its enrollment, FAQ, contact, and service pages.

Customers who can still enter Digital Banking have a more appropriate route for account-specific questions. First Horizon instructs them to select the Messages icon, open the Secure Messages tab, and choose Send Us a Secure Message.

Use secure messaging for questions tied to an account when login remains available. Use the published customer-service number or a First Horizon branch when the Digital Banking profile cannot be reached.

When describing an access failure, state:

  • The selected First Horizon service
  • Whether the website or mobile app is affected
  • The last screen that loaded
  • The approximate time the problem began
  • Whether recovery also failed

Precise beats broad.

“Personal Digital Banking loads, but Forgot ID or password stops after account-type selection” gives support a better starting point than “my bank account is broken.”

Frequently asked questions

Where is the First Horizon login?

Start at firsthorizon.com and select Log in.

What if I do not have a Digital Banking User ID?

Choose Enroll for access. First Horizon says customers should have an eligible debit or ATM card, an account number, and an email address ready for the enrollment process.

Is small-business login separate?

Yes. First Horizon maintains a dedicated Small Business login page for Digital Banking and business reporting services.

Can I use Digital Banking credentials in the mobile app?

Existing Digital Banking customers use their current credentials for First Horizon Mobile Banking. The bank states that current Digital Banking customers are automatically enrolled for mobile access.

Why does the mortgage portal ask for an email?

The mortgage application portal is a separate service whose form uses Email and Password. Personal Digital Banking uses a User ID, so the fields are not evidence that the same credentials should work in both places.

What should I do after an unexpected banking code?

Do not approve the activity. Return to First Horizon through a known route and contact the bank. First Horizon advises changing the Digital Banking User ID and password after suspicious online activity or an unexpected one-time passcode.

How do I send a secure message?

Log in, select Messages, open Secure Messages, and choose Send Us a Secure Message.

Who can help when recovery fails?

First Horizon publishes 800-382-5465 for customer assistance.
