First Horizon personal customers can begin at the bank’s main website, select Log in, and choose the correct service before entering their Digital Banking User ID. This independent guide is not affiliated with First Horizon Bank and cannot access or change customer accounts.
Do that first. The login menu serves personal banking, small-business banking, corporate services, mortgage applicants, and investment clients, so selecting the wrong product can resemble a credential failure.
What First Horizon is
First Horizon Bank is a U.S. financial institution offering personal, small-business, corporate, mortgage, trust, and wealth-related services. Its banking pages identify First Horizon Bank as a Member FDIC and Equal Housing Lender.
“First Horizon login” is therefore broader than one online-banking screen. A personal checking customer, a business owner, and a mortgage applicant may see different fields and recovery choices even though each page carries First Horizon branding.
That difference matters.
Select the banking service before signing in
The personal login page includes a service selector, User ID, Password, Login, Enroll for access, and Forgot ID or password. The dedicated Digital Banking page uses Enter User ID, Enter Password, Show, and Forgot User ID/Password.
Small-business customers have a separate page for Digital Banking and business reporting services. Corporate customers also receive a distinct service selector covering corporate banking, trust, and other online services.
| Your goal | Route to choose |
|---|---|
| View personal deposit accounts | Personal Digital Banking |
| Manage eligible small-business accounts | Small Business login |
| Access corporate treasury services | Corporate login |
| Continue a mortgage application | Mortgage application portal |
| Establish online access | Enroll for access |
| Recover existing credentials | Forgot ID or password |
Mortgage applicants should pay particular attention. The mortgage application portal asks for Email and Password, whereas standard Digital Banking asks for a User ID and password. Credentials that work on one page should not be assumed to work on the other.
Priority one: identify the product. Skip repeated password attempts until the page matches the account you are trying to reach.
Enroll for access or recover an existing profile?
First-time enrollment and account recovery are separate jobs.
Use Enroll for access when you already have an eligible First Horizon banking relationship but have not created Digital Banking credentials. Use Forgot ID or password when an online profile already exists and its sign-in information is no longer available or accepted.
The recovery page makes this distinction explicit. It says customers without a User ID need to enroll in online banking, while existing users begin by selecting whether they have a personal or business account.
Do not start another enrollment merely because an existing User ID is forgotten. A duplicate attempt can complicate the discussion with support without fixing the established profile.
Enrollment is also different from opening a new checking or savings account. It creates digital access for an existing eligible relationship; it does not replace the bank’s account-opening process.
Recover a forgotten User ID or password
Open First Horizon through the bank’s main domain, choose the appropriate banking service, and select Forgot ID or password. The recovery service begins by asking whether the account is personal or business.
First Horizon also publishes separate recovery demonstrations for personal Mobile Banking and small-business online banking. Those materials are useful when the screen layout is unfamiliar, and they reduce reliance on outdated third-party tutorials.
Keep the process within First Horizon’s linked pages. Do not use a recovery link from an unexpected email or text merely because the message contains the bank’s name.
A practical mistake occurs when someone changes the password while remaining uncertain about the User ID. The new password will not help if the wrong identifier is entered afterward.
Recover the identifier first. Skip ordinary login attempts until you know which field is failing.
Why First Horizon Digital Banking may not load
A loading failure can happen before the bank checks the account.
Close the failed tab and reopen First Horizon from the main website. Confirm that the service selector and the User ID and Password fields appear normally. The direct Digital Banking page also displays validation messages when either required field is empty.
Compare the failure carefully:
- The main site opens, but Digital Banking does not.
- Digital Banking opens, but recovery does not.
- The website works, but the mobile app does not.
- One device fails while another works.
- Both personal and business services are affected.
Change one variable at a time. Deleting all cookies, reinstalling the app, and replacing the password together makes it difficult to identify which action mattered.
When a form requires Digital Banking credentials, First Horizon may direct customers without them to visit a branch or call for help rather than continue through that form. One First Horizon customer form displays Username and Password validation messages and gives that instruction directly.
Personal, business, and corporate mobile access
First Horizon’s Mobile Banking app is listed for both personal and small-business customers. Published functions include viewing balances, depositing checks, paying bills, transferring funds, creating budgets, tracking spending, and setting alerts.
Corporate mobile access can be different. First Horizon describes First Horizon Connect as the mobile solution for customers using BusinessConnect and related treasury-management services.
Do not assume the consumer Mobile Banking app is the proper tool for every company account. A small-business Digital Banking user and a corporate treasury user may belong to different systems.
This is one area generic login articles often flatten into a single instruction. The safer route is to identify whether the business uses Small Business Digital Banking, BusinessConnect, or another service named in its First Horizon setup.
Use the proper support route
First Horizon publishes 800-382-5465 on its support and contact pages. Its general questions form says responses are generally provided within one to two business days and advises customers to call that number for faster service.
That timing is useful. A routine question may fit the online form; a blocked login or suspicious transaction usually deserves a faster channel.
Customers can also start from the bank’s support hub, which links to FAQs, customer-service requests, banking assistance, and contact options.
When reporting a login issue, state:
- Personal, small-business, or corporate service
- Website or mobile app
- Last screen that loaded
- Whether recovery opened
- Approximate time the problem began
- Whether another device behaves differently
Do not include authentication information in an ordinary support form.
Suspicious activity changes the priority
A login inconvenience becomes a fraud issue when an unauthorized transaction, unfamiliar alert, or suspicious communication appears.
First Horizon instructs customers who believe a transaction may be fraudulent or unauthorized to call promptly so a fraud claim can be started. Its fraud-reporting page also directs customers to Client Services or a local branch and provides a route for reporting suspicious emails or texts.
For fraudulent card use, First Horizon publishes a separate 24-hour card-reporting number and says the card can be blocked to prevent further unauthorized use. Unauthorized online or mobile bill payments should instead be reported through Client Services, a banker, or a banking center.
Do not approve an unfamiliar action just to make an alert disappear. Do not call a number shown only inside a suspicious message.
Return to a contact route obtained from First Horizon’s established website or your own banking records.
Check FDIC coverage by product
First Horizon’s personal and corporate banking pages state that banking products and services are provided by First Horizon Bank, Member FDIC.
That statement should not be extended to every investment or wealth product displayed in the same login menu. Deposit insurance is governed by FDIC rules and applies to eligible deposits according to account ownership and applicable limits, not simply because a product is accessed through a bank-branded website.
Read the disclosure for the exact product.
This matters when the login menu routes a customer from Digital Banking to trust, brokerage, or investment services. Shared branding does not make every service a deposit account.
Avoid the wrong “Horizon” bank
Search results can mix First Horizon Bank with other institutions carrying “Horizon” in their names.
For example, Horizon Bank operates on a different domain and publishes different login and support instructions. It is not the First Horizon Digital Banking service described here.
Verify the full bank name before entering anything.
The safest starting point is First Horizon’s established main domain, followed by its own Log in menu. Skip pages that use a similar bank name but do not belong to First Horizon.
Frequently asked questions
Where is the First Horizon login?
Start from First Horizon’s main website and select Log in.
What if I do not have a User ID?
Use enrollment, not recovery.
Is the small-business login separate?
Yes. First Horizon maintains a dedicated Small Business login page for Digital Banking and business reporting services.
Why does the mortgage portal ask for an email?
The mortgage application portal is a separate service with Email, Password, Trouble signing in?, and Sign in controls. Standard personal Digital Banking uses a User ID, so the two screens should not be treated as interchangeable.
Can personal and small-business customers use the same mobile app?
First Horizon lists its Mobile Banking app for both personal and small-business customers. Corporate treasury customers may instead use a service such as First Horizon Connect, depending on their business setup.
How quickly does the questions form receive a response?
First Horizon says correspondence through its questions and comments form is generally answered within one to two business days. It directs customers who need faster help to call.
What should I do about an unauthorized transaction?
Call First Horizon promptly using its published support route so the bank can begin the appropriate fraud process. Card fraud and unauthorized online bill payments may follow different reporting paths.
Is Horizon Bank the same as First Horizon Bank?
No. They are separate institutions with different websites and support information.
