Find the First Horizon Sign-In Built for Your Account

A First Horizon login starts with the account category, not the password. Personal customers, small-business users, and corporate treasury clients can encounter similar-looking fields while using separate services, apps, recovery paths, and support teams.

This independent guide is not affiliated with First Horizon Bank and cannot access or change customer accounts. Start from firsthorizon.com, select Log in, and verify the named service before attempting recovery.

What First Horizon is

First Horizon Bank is a U.S. financial institution serving personal, small-business, corporate, mortgage, trust, and wealth clients. Its banking pages identify First Horizon Bank as a Member FDIC and Equal Housing Lender.

The search term “First Horizon” does not reveal which product the customer uses. Someone checking a personal account, an employee accessing a company treasury service, and a business owner managing user entitlements may all be looking for a login, yet they should not automatically choose the same page.

Route first. Recover second.

Personal, small-business, and corporate access

First Horizon maintains separate login pages for its primary customer groups.

The personal login page includes a banking-service selector, User ID, Password, Login, Enroll for access, and Forgot ID or password. The Small Business page uses the same core field labels but is specifically described as the entry point for small-business Digital Banking and business reporting services. The Corporate page has its own service selector for digital banking, trust, and other banking or investment services.

The visual similarity is the problem. A business user can recognize User ID and Password, assume the page is interchangeable, and begin changing credentials even though the wrong service was selected.

Do this first: read the customer category and selected service. Skip recovery until both match the intended account.

What the direct Digital Banking screen tells you

The dedicated First Horizon Digital Banking page displays Enter User ID, Enter Password, Show, and Forgot User ID/Password. It can also display We still need your User ID or We still need your Password when a required field has not been supplied.

Those messages are basic form validation. They do not establish that an existing User ID was rejected or that an account was locked.

This detail matters when a browser or password manager fills only one field. The customer submits the page, sees a warning, and starts a password reset even though the second field remained empty.

Check both entries first. Skip enrollment, browser deletion, and support escalation when the page merely names a missing field.

A rejected completed login is a different event from an incomplete form.

Enrollment and recovery solve different problems

First Horizon’s recovery page is titled Forgot User ID Or Password. It tells customers who do not have a User ID to enroll in online banking instead and asks existing users to select the applicable account type, including personal or business access.

Use Enroll for access when a Digital Banking profile has never been established. First Horizon says enrollment is generally completed in about five minutes and lists a debit or ATM card, an account number, and an email address among the items needed.

Use Forgot ID or password when the customer previously signed in successfully but can no longer use the established profile.

The difference sounds obvious, yet it produces two common mistakes:

  • An existing user starts another enrollment after forgetting a User ID.
  • A bank customer tries recovery even though Digital Banking was never set up.

Enrollment adds digital access to an eligible existing banking relationship. It is not the same as opening a new deposit account.

Priority one: determine whether the profile ever worked. Skip duplicate enrollment when an established profile needs recovery.

Recover the correct account category

The First Horizon recovery service separates personal customers from business and Small Business customers. The Digital Banking recovery page currently displays 800-511-9160 as its customer-care contact.

Use a controlled sequence:

  1. Start from First Horizon’s main site.
  2. Select the relevant personal or business service.
  3. Open Forgot ID or password.
  4. Choose the account category that matches the affected profile.
  5. Complete the process through First Horizon’s recovery service.
  6. Return to a fresh sign-in page.

Recover one profile at a time.

A customer may have personal and business relationships with the bank. Changing the personal profile does not necessarily restore Small Business access, while a corporate treasury User ID may belong to an entirely different service.

First Horizon also publishes a bank-hosted Small Business demonstration labeled Forgot User ID or Password. That resource is safer than relying on an unofficial video whose screens or routing may be outdated.

Small Business login versus user entitlements

A Small Business login failure and a business-permission problem are not the same thing.

First Horizon describes Small Business Digital Banking as supporting account management, user-entitlement management, payments, and payments to associates through online banking or the mobile app.

That creates two separate diagnostic layers:

  • The user cannot enter Digital Banking at all.
  • The user enters successfully but cannot see or perform a business function.

Use recovery for the first situation. For the second, check the organization’s user setup and assigned entitlements through the appropriate business channel.

A valid password does not create permission to every company account or payment function. Conversely, missing access to one business feature does not prove that the entire Digital Banking profile has failed.

Do the login test first. Skip repeated credential changes when the dashboard already opens.

This is often missed.

Corporate and treasury users may need another app

First Horizon’s consumer Mobile Banking service is available to personal and Small Business customers. Existing Digital Banking customers are automatically enrolled for Mobile Banking and use their current Digital Banking credentials. Access is offered through the downloadable app or a mobile web browser.

Corporate treasury clients can follow another route. First Horizon says existing BusinessConnect or TreasuryConnect clients should contact Treasury Management Technical Support to enroll in mobile banking, then use the First Horizon Connect app. The published support number for that process is 800-778-5915.

That difference changes the troubleshooting:

  • Personal website works, consumer app fails: check the current First Horizon Mobile Banking app.
  • Small Business website works, consumer app fails: verify the business profile and stored mobile session.
  • BusinessConnect or TreasuryConnect user opens the consumer app: move to the assigned corporate-mobile process.
  • Corporate user lacks mobile enrollment: contact the treasury-management support route published by First Horizon.
  • Login succeeds but a corporate function is absent: check service assignment rather than the personal recovery page.

Do not reinstall the wrong application. Confirm the service first.

Mobile options and available functions vary by account and business setup.

Why a support form can request another sign-in

Some First Horizon customer-service requests lead to a page titled Before you continue.

The screen says the form is for customers and asks for a Digital Banking Username and Password. Empty fields trigger Please enter a value for Username and Please enter a value for Password. Customers without Digital Banking credentials are directed to visit a branch or call 800-382-5465.

This can look like a second account appearing midway through a support request.

It is generally an authentication checkpoint for the protected form. Use the established Digital Banking profile when that screen was reached through a valid First Horizon customer-service route.

Skip corporate, mortgage, or unrelated investment credentials unless the page specifically identifies that service.

Customers who cannot enter Digital Banking should return to the bank’s support hub, call through the published channel, or visit a branch rather than repeatedly submitting the protected form.

Compare the website and app before escalating

First Horizon’s consumer mobile app supports personal and Small Business customers. Published functions include viewing balances, depositing checks, paying bills, transferring funds, creating and managing budgets, tracking spending, and setting alerts.

Compare access by channel:

  • Website and app both fail: inspect the profile and recovery route.
  • Website works but the app fails: inspect the app, stored session, and correct customer category.
  • App works but the website fails: reopen the bank from its main domain.
  • Personal profile works but Small Business fails: recover or review the business profile.
  • Business dashboard opens but one account is missing: review entitlements.
  • Corporate mobile access fails: confirm BusinessConnect or TreasuryConnect enrollment.

Change one variable at a time. Do not combine password recovery, app reinstallation, browser-data deletion, and business-user changes in one attempt.

That approach preserves useful evidence.

Choose support by task and urgency

First Horizon’s general support and branch pages publish 800-382-5465. Its Digital Banking login and recovery service displays 800-511-9160, while First Horizon’s corporate mobile page lists 800-778-5915 for Treasury Management Technical Support.

Use the contact tied to the problem:

  • Digital Banking User ID or recovery issue: Digital Banking customer care.
  • General personal banking assistance: general customer service.
  • BusinessConnect or TreasuryConnect mobile enrollment: Treasury Management Technical Support.
  • Protected service form without Digital Banking access: branch or the number shown on that page.
  • Routine written question: public questions-and-comments form.

First Horizon says questions submitted through its public form are generally answered within one to two business days and directs customers who need faster service to call.

When contacting support, report the customer category, selected service, website or app, last visible screen, and approximate time of failure. Keep authentication details out of an ordinary message.

Suspicious activity outranks login troubleshooting

An unexpected banking alert, unfamiliar authentication event, or unrecognized activity should not be treated as a routine browser problem.

First Horizon’s fraud guidance advises customers to change their User ID and password periodically and act when suspicious activity appears.

Stop ordinary tests. Return to First Horizon through its established main domain or published support channel rather than following a link in an unexpected communication.

Priority two: protect the account. Skip app experiments and repeated login submissions while suspicious activity is being evaluated.

FDIC coverage follows the product

First Horizon identifies eligible banking products as FDIC-insured. Its login menus also provide access to trust, investment, and other financial services that can carry different disclosures and protections.

Shared First Horizon branding does not make every linked service an insured deposit.

Read the exact product disclosure. Coverage and service availability can vary by product and region.
