Start at firsthorizon.com, select Log in, and determine whether First Horizon rejects the sign-in or accepts it but does not show the account or feature you expected. This independent guide is not affiliated with First Horizon Bank and cannot access or change customer accounts.
Make that distinction first. A missing account after entry is not the same problem as a forgotten Digital Banking User ID, and starting password recovery may not restore a product that is hidden, unavailable, or attached to another profile.
What First Horizon is
First Horizon Bank is a U.S. financial institution offering personal, small-business, commercial, mortgage, trust, and related financial services. Its personal login page identifies eligible banking products as provided by First Horizon Bank, Member FDIC.
The keyword “First Horizon” often represents one of two jobs. A customer either needs to enter Digital Banking, or has already entered and cannot locate an account, statement, transaction, or service.
The screen tells you which.
Separate sign-in trouble from a post-login problem
First Horizon’s personal page includes a service selector, User ID, Password, Login, Enroll for access, and Forgot ID or password. Its direct Digital Banking page displays Enter User ID, Enter Password, Show, and Forgot User ID/Password.
Use this mistake map:
| What happens | More relevant action |
|---|---|
| Login form will not accept an established profile | Use the bank’s recovery route |
| We still need your User ID appears | Complete the required field |
| We still need your Password appears | Complete the required field |
| Dashboard opens but an account is absent | Check the selected profile and account visibility |
| Account appears but a feature is missing | Check product access or eligibility |
| Personal access works but business access does not | Open the Small Business service |
| Mortgage status is missing | Use the separate mortgage application portal |
A successful dashboard load means the primary Digital Banking authentication stage was completed. It does not prove that every First Horizon relationship, business permission, investment service, or mortgage application should appear inside that particular profile.
Do this first: note whether the dashboard opens. Skip password recovery when you are already signed in.
Required-field messages are not rejected credentials
The direct First Horizon Digital Banking page can display We still need your User ID and We still need your Password. Those are field-validation messages shown when the named entry is missing.
They do not establish that First Horizon locked the profile.
A browser may restore one field but not the other. The customer submits the form, sees a warning, and assumes the remembered information was declined, even though the complete sign-in was never sent.
Check both fields first. Skip browser deletion, app reinstallation, and enrollment when the page merely identifies an incomplete entry.
Small message. Narrow meaning.
A fully completed form that remains unsuccessful is the point at which the bank’s published recovery route becomes relevant.
Recover access only when the profile itself fails
First Horizon’s recovery page is titled Forgot User ID Or Password. It distinguishes customers who already have Digital Banking access from those who still need enrollment and publishes 800-511-9160 for that recovery service.
Use recovery when:
- Digital Banking worked previously.
- The established User ID is no longer known.
- The existing password is no longer usable.
- Both the website and mobile service reject the profile.
- The failure happens before the dashboard opens.
First Horizon’s Digital Banking FAQ also directs customers who forgot a User ID to the recovery control in the website’s login menu.
Do not begin recovery solely because one account is missing after login. A password change addresses authentication. It does not necessarily correct profile linking, product visibility, or business-user permissions.
Priority one: prove the sign-in failed. Skip credential changes when the account dashboard is already open.
Check whether the account belongs to another profile
First Horizon maintains separate personal and Small Business login pages. The business page is specifically described as access for Small Business Digital Banking and business reporting services.
A customer who has both personal and business relationships may therefore use different access contexts.
Possible post-login mistakes include:
- Opening the personal profile while searching for a business account
- Opening Small Business access while expecting a personal deposit account
- Using a corporate service that was assigned separately
- Looking for a mortgage application inside Digital Banking
- Assuming every First Horizon product appears on one dashboard
The mortgage application portal demonstrates the split clearly. It uses Email, Password, Trouble signing in?, and Sign in, and it is intended for viewing loan status or completing mortgage-related steps.
A mortgage application that does not appear in personal Digital Banking may not be missing. It may belong to that separate portal.
Read the profile name first. Skip broad account recovery until the correct First Horizon service has been opened.
Locate statements and account details after login
First Horizon’s routing and account-number FAQ provides a verified post-login path for account information. It directs Digital Banking customers to the Accounts/Statements tab, select the account name from the Assets section, and use the visibility symbol to display the account number.
That route is useful diagnostically.
If the Accounts/Statements area opens and the expected account appears under Assets, the core login is functioning. The remaining question concerns the account detail or feature being viewed.
If the expected account does not appear there, do not repeatedly sign out and reset the profile. Confirm that the correct personal or business profile was selected, then contact First Horizon through an established support route.
The path may differ for corporate, trust, investment, or specialized business services. Product availability also varies by account and region.
Do the account-list check first. Skip credential recovery when the issue concerns one missing item after authentication.
Compare the website with Mobile Banking
First Horizon says existing Digital Banking customers are automatically enrolled for Mobile Banking and should use their current Digital Banking credentials. Access is offered through the downloadable application or a mobile web browser.
The current First Horizon Mobile Banking app is listed for personal and Small Business customers. Published functions include viewing balances, depositing checks, paying bills, transferring funds, managing budgets, tracking spending, and setting alerts.
Use the comparison:
- Website and app both reject entry: inspect the profile or recovery route.
- Website opens and shows the account, but the app does not: inspect the app session.
- App shows the account, but the website does not: reopen the correct web profile.
- Both open, but one account is absent everywhere: contact the bank about account visibility.
- Personal accounts appear, but business accounts do not: use Small Business access.
- Login works, but a feature is unavailable: check the product or user setup.
Do not reinstall first. Confirm whether the same account appears through another First Horizon channel, then isolate the failing environment.
The difference between “cannot sign in” and “cannot see the account after sign-in” should remain explicit when the problem is reported.
A protected form may request Digital Banking again
Some First Horizon customer-service workflows open a page headed Before you continue.
The screen says the selected form is for customers and requires a Digital Banking Username and Password. Empty submissions produce Please enter a value for Username and Please enter a value for Password. Customers without Digital Banking access are directed to a branch or 800-382-5465.
This can look like the bank discarded an existing session.
In practice, the selected customer request is being protected through Digital Banking authentication. The new screen does not necessarily represent another account or an enrollment request.
Use the established Digital Banking profile. Skip mortgage, investment, or corporate credentials unless the form specifically identifies that service.
A customer who cannot pass the protected screen can return to First Horizon’s support hub, which provides FAQs, contact assistance, and customer-service requests.
Missing features can reflect business access controls
A business user can sign in successfully and still lack access to an expected account or function.
First Horizon identifies its Small Business page as the route to Digital Banking and business reporting services. The bank’s Small Business recovery guide also treats business access as a distinct profile category rather than a copy of personal Digital Banking.
That creates two separate cases:
- The business user cannot enter the service.
- The business user enters but cannot see or use a particular resource.
Use recovery for the first case. For the second, check the company’s First Horizon setup and the affected user’s access through the appropriate business support channel.
A working login does not grant every employee access to every company account. Missing one account does not prove that the password failed.
Check what other authorized users can see. Skip company-wide credential changes when only one user is affected.
Know when to contact First Horizon
First Horizon’s contact page publishes 800-382-5465 for customer assistance. The Digital Banking login and recovery service displays 800-511-9160 as its customer-care contact.
Use the route that matches the failure:
- Profile rejected before dashboard entry: Digital Banking recovery support
- Dashboard opens but an account is missing: general or account-specific support
- Personal profile works but Small Business does not: business access support
- Protected form cannot be reached: the alternate route shown on that page
- Mortgage application missing: mortgage portal support
- Suspicious or unauthorized activity: bank contact obtained from an established source
When reporting the problem, state the service, device, last screen that worked, and whether the dashboard opened.
“Personal Digital Banking opens, but the expected account is absent from Accounts/Statements” gives support a precise starting point. “My First Horizon login does not work” sends them toward the wrong diagnosis.
Keep the report focused.
Treat unfamiliar activity differently
First Horizon’s security guidance tells customers to use established bank channels for suspected fraud and includes controls such as turning a card off through Digital Banking to help limit unauthorized use.
An account missing from the dashboard is an access or visibility question. An unfamiliar transaction, unexpected alert, or unrequested authentication event is a security issue.
Do not continue ordinary troubleshooting when unauthorized activity is suspected. Return to First Horizon through the bank’s main website or a contact source you already trust.
Security takes priority. Skip account-display experiments until the suspicious activity has been reported through the bank’s published route.
FDIC status follows the account type
First Horizon identifies its banking services as provided by First Horizon Bank, Member FDIC.
The same login menu may provide routes to trust, mortgage, investment, and other financial services. Shared First Horizon branding does not mean every linked product carries the same protections.
Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation coverage applies to eligible deposits according to applicable limits and ownership categories. Read the disclosure attached to the exact product rather than inferring coverage from the login page alone.
Frequently asked questions
Where should I begin?
Start at firsthorizon.com.
What does “We still need your User ID” mean?
The required field is incomplete.
Should I reset my password if the dashboard opens?
Usually not for that reason alone. A working dashboard means the primary Digital Banking sign-in completed. Check the selected personal or business profile, the Accounts/Statements area, and the product you expected before treating a missing account as a password problem.
Where can I find account details after login?
First Horizon directs customers to Accounts/Statements, then the account name under Assets. Its account-number guidance describes a visibility control for displaying the account number.
Can personal and Small Business accounts use different routes?
Yes. First Horizon maintains separate personal and Small Business login pages, and the business page covers Digital Banking plus business reporting services.
Why is my mortgage application absent from Digital Banking?
Mortgage applications use a separate portal with Email, Password, and Trouble signing in?. The application may therefore belong to that portal rather than the ordinary Digital Banking dashboard.
Why does a support form request another sign-in?
Some customer requests use the Before you continue authentication page. It asks for the existing Digital Banking profile and provides alternate instructions for customers without that access.
Which number is shown for Digital Banking recovery?
800-511-9160.
