Start a First Horizon login at firsthorizon.com, select Log in, and read the selected service and visible field labels before entering anything. This independent guide is not affiliated with First Horizon Bank and cannot access, recover, or modify customer accounts.
A personal Digital Banking page, Small Business page, Corporate page, and protected customer-service form may all display First Horizon branding while leading to different systems.
What First Horizon is
First Horizon Bank is a U.S. financial institution serving personal, small-business, corporate, mortgage, trust, and wealth clients. Its banking pages identify First Horizon Bank as a Member FDIC and Equal Housing Lender.
The broad search “First Horizon” often represents one immediate job: enter Digital Banking, enroll for access, recover an existing User ID, open a business profile, or reach account support.
Pick the job first.
Use the visible labels as a route map
First Horizon’s personal login page shows a banking-service selector followed by User ID, Password, Login, Enroll for access, and Forgot ID or password.
The direct Digital Banking screen uses slightly different wording:
- Enter User ID
- Enter Password
- Show
- Forgot User ID/Password
- We still need your User ID
- We still need your Password
The Small Business login page also displays User ID, Password, Login, Enroll for access, and Forgot ID or password, but it is specifically described as the gateway to Small Business Digital Banking and business reporting services.
| Screen detail | Likely task |
|---|---|
| Enroll for access | Establish Digital Banking access |
| Forgot User ID/Password | Recover an existing digital profile |
| We still need your User ID | Complete the required User ID field |
| Small Business service selector | Open business banking or reporting |
| Corporate service selector | Choose the assigned corporate service |
| Before you continue | Authenticate for a protected customer request |
Do this first: identify the page. Skip a password reset when the wrong First Horizon service is selected.
The Corporate page provides its own banking and investment service selector and can display User Id is required or Password is required when fields are incomplete.
Similar fields do not prove that the profiles are interchangeable.
Required-field messages are not account lockouts
The direct Digital Banking page can display We still need your User ID when the User ID field is incomplete and We still need your Password when the password field is incomplete.
Those messages describe the form, not the status of the customer’s account.
A password manager may populate one field while leaving the other empty. The customer submits the form, sees a validation message, and assumes the bank rejected the stored profile, even though the required information was never fully submitted.
Check both fields first. Skip enrollment, app reinstallation, and browser-data deletion when the screen merely names a missing entry.
Small difference. Useful diagnosis.
A completed login that remains unsuccessful is a separate situation and may require the published recovery route or First Horizon support.
Enrollment and recovery are separate jobs
First Horizon’s recovery screen is titled Forgot User ID Or Password. It tells customers without a User ID that they need to enroll in online banking instead and provides an account-selection step for existing users. The page currently lists 800-511-9160 for help with that service.
Use Enroll for access when Digital Banking has never been created for the eligible banking relationship. Use Forgot ID or password when the customer previously used Digital Banking but no longer knows or can use the established profile.
Two common mistakes follow:
- An existing Digital Banking user starts another enrollment after forgetting the User ID.
- A bank customer repeatedly opens recovery even though no User ID was ever created.
First Horizon’s Digital Banking FAQ also directs customers who forgot their User ID to the recovery control in the site’s login menu.
Priority one: determine whether the profile existed. Skip duplicate enrollment when an established account needs recovery.
Enrollment creates digital access. It does not replace opening or maintaining the underlying bank account.
Recover personal and business profiles carefully
The First Horizon recovery page separates customers who already have a profile from those who need enrollment.
First Horizon also maintains a dedicated Small Business demonstration titled Forgot User ID or Password, while its Small Business user guide describes beginning recovery from the site’s login menu and selecting the business account category.
Use a controlled sequence:
- Start at First Horizon’s main website.
- Select the personal or Small Business service.
- Choose Forgot ID or password.
- Complete recovery through First Horizon’s pages.
- Return to a new login session.
Recover one profile at a time.
A customer may have personal and Small Business relationships. Recovering the personal User ID does not necessarily restore the separate business profile, and a corporate treasury service may have another assigned login entirely.
Do not combine recovery with another enrollment, app reinstallation, browser cleanup, and business-permission changes. Changing everything together makes the result difficult to interpret.
A successful business login may reveal a permissions issue
First Horizon describes Small Business Digital Banking as supporting account management, payments, associate payments, alerts, and the management of user entitlements.
That creates two distinct failures:
- The user cannot enter Small Business Digital Banking.
- The user enters successfully but cannot see an account or perform a business task.
Use account recovery for the first problem. For the second, review the organization’s user setup and entitlements through the appropriate business channel.
A valid sign-in does not grant every user access to every company account or payment function. Missing one function does not establish that the entire login profile has failed.
Check the dashboard first. Skip repeated password changes when access to the main business environment already works.
This gets overlooked.
Compare the website and mobile app
First Horizon says existing Digital Banking customers are automatically enrolled for Mobile Banking and use their current Digital Banking credentials. Mobile access is available through the downloadable app or a mobile web browser.
The current mobile app is offered to personal and Small Business customers. Its listed capabilities include viewing balances, depositing checks, paying bills, transferring funds, creating budgets, tracking spending, and setting alerts.
Use the two channels to narrow the problem:
- Website and app both fail: inspect the digital profile or recovery route.
- Website works but the app fails: inspect the current app or stored mobile session.
- App works but the website fails: reopen the bank from its main domain.
- Personal access works but Small Business fails: verify the business profile.
- Login works but a feature is absent: check account eligibility or user entitlements.
Do not reinstall first. Confirm whether the same profile works through another First Horizon channel, then isolate the device or service that remains affected.
Corporate users may belong elsewhere. First Horizon says its business mobile service uses BusinessConnect or TreasuryConnect User IDs and publishes 800-778-5915 for related support.
Service availability varies by account and region.
Why a support form asks for Digital Banking access
Some First Horizon customer-service requests open an authentication page titled Before you continue.
That screen says the form is for customers and asks for a Digital Banking Username and Password. Empty fields can trigger Please enter a value for Username and Please enter a value for Password. Customers without Digital Banking credentials are instructed to visit a branch or call 800-382-5465.
This can look like an unexpected second login because the page appears after a service request has already been selected.
It is an authentication checkpoint for the protected request. Use the established Digital Banking profile there, not a mortgage, corporate, trust, or investment credential unless the screen specifically names that system.
Do this first: identify the request. Skip forcing the protected form when Digital Banking itself is unavailable.
The broader First Horizon support hub provides FAQs, online contact options, and customer-service requests.
Use secure messaging for account-specific questions
First Horizon directs enrolled customers with account-specific questions to sign in to Digital Banking, select the Messages icon, open the Secure Messages tab, and choose Send Us a Secure Message.
The same public questions form says attachments are not accepted and publishes 800-382-5465 for assistance.
Use the channel according to the problem:
- Account-specific question while signed in: Secure Messages.
- Digital Banking recovery problem: recovery-page support.
- General banking question: customer service or the support hub.
- Protected form without online access: call or visit a branch.
- Corporate mobile issue: the treasury support route.
When describing a problem, name the selected service, device, last screen that loaded, approximate failure time, and whether recovery also opened.
“Small Business login works, but an account is missing after entry” is more useful than “First Horizon is not working.”
Keep authentication details out of ordinary messages.
Treat suspicious activity as a different problem
First Horizon tells customers with confirmed fraud or suspicious account activity to contact Client Services at 800-382-5465 or visit a branch. It also instructs recipients of a suspicious email or text appearing to come from the bank not to submit personal information and to forward the message to phishing@firsthorizon.com.
Stop ordinary login troubleshooting when unfamiliar activity appears.
Do not approve an action you did not initiate. Do not use a login link or support number found only inside the suspicious message.
Return to First Horizon through its main website or another established banking contact. Security takes priority; browser experiments can wait.
FDIC coverage follows the product
First Horizon’s personal, Small Business, and Corporate login pages identify banking products and services as provided by First Horizon Bank, Member FDIC.
The login menu may also route customers to trust, investment, and other financial services. Those products can carry different protections and disclosures.
Read the selected product name.
Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation coverage applies to eligible deposits under applicable rules and ownership categories. Shared First Horizon branding does not make every linked service an insured deposit.
Frequently asked questions
Where should I start?
Use firsthorizon.com and select Log in.
What does “We still need your User ID” mean?
The required field is incomplete.
What if I never created a Digital Banking User ID?
Choose enrollment. First Horizon’s recovery page directs customers without a User ID to enroll, while customers with an established profile should continue through Forgot User ID Or Password.
Is Small Business login separate?
Yes. First Horizon maintains a dedicated Small Business page for Digital Banking and business reporting services.
Can personal and Small Business customers use the same mobile app?
First Horizon’s current app listing says the Mobile Banking app is available to personal and Small Business customers. Corporate BusinessConnect and TreasuryConnect users may follow a different mobile route.
Why does a support form ask me to sign in again?
Some customer requests are protected by the Before you continue authentication page. It requests the existing Digital Banking profile and directs customers without that access to a branch or the listed support number.
How do I ask an account-specific question securely?
After signing in, open Messages, select Secure Messages, and choose Send Us a Secure Message.
What should I do with a suspicious bank message?
Do not submit personal information through it. First Horizon directs customers to contact the bank through an established route and forward suspected phishing messages to its published phishing address.
