First Horizon customers should enter through firsthorizon.com, select Log in, and choose the service connected to their account. This independent guide is not affiliated with First Horizon Bank and cannot access, recover, or modify banking profiles.

Check the service name first. Personal Digital Banking, Small Business, Corporate Banking, mortgage applications, trust services, and investment platforms can use different screens and credentials, even though each page carries the First Horizon name.

What First Horizon is

First Horizon Bank is a U.S. financial institution serving personal, small-business, corporate, mortgage, wealth, and trust clients. Its banking pages identify deposit services as provided by First Horizon Bank, Member FDIC and Equal Housing Lender.

The search term “First Horizon” is usually navigational. A customer may be trying to open Digital Banking, recover a forgotten User ID, enroll for online access, locate a mortgage application, or report suspicious activity.

Those jobs require different routes.

Decode the First Horizon login menu

The personal login page presents a banking-service selector, followed by User ID, Password, Login, Enroll for access, and Forgot ID or password. The dedicated Digital Banking screen uses Enter User ID, Enter Password, Show, and Forgot User ID/Password.

Your account or taskAppropriate route
Personal checking or savingsPersonal Digital Banking
Eligible small-business accountsSmall Business login
Treasury or corporate servicesCorporate login
Mortgage application progressMortgage application portal

Existing profile recoveryForgot ID or password

The Small Business login page is separate from the personal page and covers Digital Banking plus business reporting services. Corporate customers have another login menu for corporate banking, trust, and related online services.

Mortgage applicants face a particularly easy mistake. The mortgage application portal uses Email, Password, Trouble signing in?, and Sign in, while ordinary Digital Banking asks for a User ID. A credential that belongs to one system should not be assumed to work in the other.

Do this first: match the page to the product. Skip password recovery until the selected service is correct.

Enroll or recover?

These actions are not interchangeable.

Choose Enroll for access when you have an eligible First Horizon banking relationship but have never created a Digital Banking User ID. Choose Forgot ID or password when a Digital Banking profile already exists and its credentials are no longer known or accepted.

The recovery page makes the distinction plainly. Customers without a User ID are directed to enroll in online banking, while existing users begin by choosing whether they have a personal or business account.

A common mistake is attempting recovery before enrollment was completed. The opposite mistake also occurs: an existing customer starts a second enrollment because the established User ID has been forgotten.

Enrollment is not account opening. It creates digital access for an eligible existing relationship rather than establishing a new checking, savings, or lending product.

Pick one route. Avoid duplicate access attempts unless First Horizon instructs you to start over.

Recover a forgotten User ID or password

Start from First Horizon’s main domain, open the appropriate login menu, and select Forgot ID or password. The recovery service asks whether the affected account is personal or business before moving to the next stage.

First Horizon also publishes separate demonstrations for personal Mobile Banking and Small Business recovery. Those bank-hosted guides are safer reference points than an old third-party video whose screens or links may no longer match the current process.

Identify what was forgotten before acting:

  • User ID only
  • Password only
  • Both credentials
  • The correct banking service
  • The account type selected during recovery

Resetting the password will not solve a User ID mismatch. Likewise, a valid personal Digital Banking User ID may not belong on the mortgage or corporate sign-in screen.

Recover the identifier first. Skip repeated login attempts while the User ID remains uncertain.

When the login page loads but access fails

A working login form only proves that the page loaded. It does not establish that the selected service or credentials are correct.

Start with a controlled comparison. Open First Horizon from the bank’s main website, select the service again, and note whether the failure happens before or after the User ID and Password fields. Then compare the website with the current First Horizon mobile app.

Keep the test narrow:

  1. Reopen the bank from its main domain.
  2. Confirm the selected banking service.
  3. Check whether recovery opens.
  4. Try one other current browser session.
  5. Compare the mobile app, where appropriate.
  6. Contact First Horizon if both login and recovery remain unavailable.

Do not clear every browser setting, reinstall the application, and reset credentials at the same time. That removes the evidence needed to tell whether the problem involved a stored session, the app, or the account.

First Horizon’s support hub provides banking FAQs, customer-service requests, and contact routes for problems that cannot be resolved through self-service.

Personal, small-business, and corporate mobile access

The First Horizon Mobile Banking app is listed for both personal and Small Business customers. Its published features include viewing balances, depositing checks, paying bills, transferring funds, creating budgets, tracking spending, and setting alerts.

Corporate treasury customers may use a different system. First Horizon describes First Horizon Connect as its mobile solution for customers using BusinessConnect and related treasury-management services.

Do not flatten every business account into one app.

A small-business owner using standard Digital Banking may belong in the consumer-facing First Horizon Mobile Banking app. A corporate treasury user may need First Horizon Connect. The correct choice depends on the service established by the bank and the organization.

A website login that succeeds while the app fails suggests checking the selected application and stored session before replacing the banking credentials again.

Use the bank’s own mobile links. Skip similarly named apps reached only through advertisements or unofficial download pages.

First Horizon support paths

First Horizon publishes 800-382-5465 for general customer assistance. Its questions-and-comments form says correspondence is generally answered within one to two business days and advises customers who need faster service to call.

That timing affects the right choice. A routine product question may fit the online form. A blocked banking login, suspicious transaction, or time-sensitive access problem usually warrants a faster route.

Some First Horizon online forms require Digital Banking credentials. The bank’s Before you continue screen tells customers without those credentials to visit a branch or call 800-382-5465.

When contacting support, describe:

  • Personal, Small Business, Corporate, or mortgage access
  • Website or mobile app
  • Last page or field that worked
  • Whether recovery opened
  • Approximate time the problem began
  • Whether another device behaved differently

Keep the description operational. Do not place authentication information in an ordinary support form.

Specific beats vague.

Suspicious messages require a different response

A login inconvenience becomes a security issue when an unexpected call, message, code, alert, or transaction appears.

First Horizon says it will not contact customers and ask them to verify their identity by sending codes or supplying passwords through phone, email, or text. Customers who receive a communication claiming to be from First Horizon and believe it may be fraudulent are directed to contact Client Services at the bank’s published number.

Stop there.

Do not follow the message’s link, approve an unfamiliar action, or call a number provided only inside the suspicious communication. Return to First Horizon using the bank’s established website or your existing banking records.

First Horizon instructs customers who believe a transaction may be fraudulent or unauthorized to call promptly so a fraud claim can be started.

Card fraud has a more specific route. First Horizon publishes 877-242-9895 as a 24-hour number for fraudulent card use so the card can be blocked. Unauthorized online or mobile bill payments should be reported through Client Services, a banker, or a banking center rather than the general transaction-dispute form.

Priority one is limiting further activity. Skip ordinary password troubleshooting when unauthorized transactions are already visible.

Lost cards and account protection

First Horizon tells customers to report lost or stolen bank cards or checks immediately through Client Services or a local branch. Customers who can still access Digital Banking may also turn a card off to help limit unauthorized use.

Turning a card off is not a substitute for reporting confirmed loss or fraud. It is an account control that can help while the customer contacts the bank through the appropriate channel.

First Horizon’s Digital Banking service advertises account availability, bill payment, transfers, electronic statements, alerts, encryption, and authentication technology. Specific feature access depends on the customer’s account and enrolled services.

Features may vary by product and region.

FDIC coverage and non-deposit services

First Horizon’s banking pages identify First Horizon Bank as a Member FDIC. Eligible deposit accounts are covered according to FDIC rules, ownership categories, and applicable limits.

That status should not be extended automatically to every product appearing in the First Horizon login menu. Investment, trust, insurance, and wealth-related services may carry different disclosures and protections.

Read the disclosure attached to the exact product. Shared branding does not turn every financial service into an FDIC-insured deposit.

The distinction becomes especially relevant when the login selector routes a user away from Digital Banking and toward an investment or trust platform.

Avoid the similar-name mistake

First Horizon Bank is not Horizon Bank.

Search results can place both institutions near each other because the names overlap. Horizon Bank uses another domain, different login wording, and its own support contacts.

Verify the full institution name before entering anything.

The practical route is simple: start at First Horizon’s established main domain and use its Log in menu. Do not rely on a result merely because the page contains the word “Horizon.”

Frequently asked questions

Where is the First Horizon login?

Start at firsthorizon.com and select Log in.

What if I have never created a User ID?

Choose enrollment, not recovery.

Is the Small Business login separate?

Yes. First Horizon maintains a Small Business login page for Digital Banking and business reporting services.

Why does the mortgage page ask for an email?

The mortgage application portal is a separate system. It uses Email and Password, while personal Digital Banking asks for a User ID, so credentials should not be assumed to transfer between the two services.

Which mobile app do business customers use?

Personal and Small Business customers can use First Horizon Mobile Banking. Corporate treasury customers may use First Horizon Connect, depending on the banking services established for their organization.

How quickly does the online contact form receive a reply?

First Horizon says questions and comments are generally answered within one to two business days. Customers needing faster assistance are directed to call.

What should I do if a caller asks for a banking code?

Do not provide it. First Horizon says it will not ask customers to verify their identity by sending codes or providing passwords through phone, email, or text. Return to the bank through a known contact route.

Who handles unauthorized card use?

First Horizon publishes 877-242-9895 for fraudulent card use, available 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
