Start at firsthorizon.com, select Log in, and confirm that the page displays the banking service connected to your account. This independent guide is not affiliated with First Horizon Bank and cannot access or change customer profiles.

Check the current session first. A blank required field, an unfamiliar browser, or the wrong personal, business, or corporate service can create a failed attempt without proving that the underlying Digital Banking profile must be replaced.

What First Horizon is

First Horizon Bank is a U.S. financial institution offering personal, Small Business, corporate, mortgage, trust, and related financial services. Its banking login pages identify First Horizon Bank as a Member FDIC and Equal Housing Lender.

The search term “First Horizon” often leads to one practical task: open Digital Banking, recover an existing profile, enroll for access, or determine why the website behaves differently from the mobile app.

Start with the last screen that worked.

Confirm the correct First Horizon service

The personal login page contains a service selector followed by User ID, Password, Login, Enroll for access, and Forgot ID or password. First Horizon maintains separate Small Business and Corporate login pages for business reporting, corporate banking, trust, and other assigned services.

What you are trying to reachRoute to verify
Personal checking or savings accessPersonal Digital Banking
Small-business banking or reportingSmall Business login
Corporate or treasury serviceAssigned Corporate service
New Digital Banking setupEnroll for access
Existing profile recoveryForgot ID or password
Mortgage application statusSeparate mortgage portal

The mortgage portal illustrates why the page matters. It asks for Email and Password and provides Trouble signing in?, while standard Digital Banking uses a User ID.

Do this first: match the service and field labels. Skip password recovery when the page belongs to another First Horizon product.

A legitimate credential can fail on a legitimate bank page when it belongs to a different First Horizon system.

Missing-field messages do not mean lockout

The dedicated Digital Banking screen displays Enter User ID, Enter Password, Show, and Forgot User ID/Password. When a required entry is absent, the page can show We still need your User ID or We still need your Password.

Those messages describe an incomplete form. They do not state that the account is locked, suspended, or closed.

A browser password manager may restore only one entry. The customer submits the page, sees a warning, and assumes the stored information was rejected even though both required fields were never supplied together.

Check the two fields first. Skip clearing browser data, reinstalling the app, or beginning enrollment when the screen merely identifies a missing entry.

Small message. Narrow diagnosis.

A completed form that remains unsuccessful is the point where First Horizon’s recovery control becomes relevant.

Enrollment and recovery are not interchangeable

Use Enroll for access when Digital Banking has never been established for an eligible First Horizon relationship. Use Forgot ID or password when the customer previously used the profile but can no longer enter it. Both routes are shown on the bank’s personal login page.

Two mistakes frequently complicate the process:

  • An existing Digital Banking customer starts another enrollment after forgetting the User ID.
  • A bank customer repeatedly uses recovery even though no online profile was ever created.

Enrollment creates digital access to an eligible relationship. It is not the same as opening the underlying deposit or credit product.

Priority one: determine whether the User ID ever worked. Skip duplicate setup when an established profile needs recovery.

Recover one profile at a time. Personal, Small Business, Corporate, and mortgage access may use separate account contexts.

Restart the browser session carefully

A browser problem should be tested with a narrow sequence rather than several disruptive changes at once.

  1. Close the failed First Horizon tab.
  2. Type firsthorizon.com manually.
  3. Select Log in again.
  4. Confirm the banking service.
  5. Check whether both required fields display normally.
  6. Compare one other current browser session if needed.

Do not immediately erase every cookie, saved login, and browser setting. Changing all of them together removes evidence about whether the original issue involved the selected service, an incomplete form, or a local session.

First Horizon’s security materials recommend keeping browsers, applications, operating systems, and other device software current. The bank also warns customers to be careful when using websites or applications that may not follow the same data-security safeguards.

Use a current browser first. Skip broad cleanup unless the problem remains isolated to that browser.

Compare the website and Mobile Banking app

First Horizon says current Digital Banking customers are automatically enrolled for Mobile Banking and should use their existing Digital Banking credentials. Customers can use the downloadable application or a mobile web browser.

The First Horizon Mobile Banking app is available to personal and Small Business customers. Its published functions include viewing balances, depositing checks, paying bills, transferring funds, creating budgets, tracking spending, and setting alerts.

Use the channels as a diagnostic pair:

  • Website and app both reject the profile: use recovery.
  • Website works but the app fails: inspect the current app or stored mobile session.
  • App works but the website fails: restart from the main First Horizon domain.
  • Personal access works but Small Business does not: verify the business profile.
  • Login works but one function is absent: check service access rather than replacing credentials.

Do not reinstall first. Confirm whether the profile works through another bank-provided channel, then isolate the failing environment.

Mobile features and access can vary by account, device, and service setup.

Check for a wider service issue

One failed browser tab does not establish a bank-wide outage. Compare the public site, the Digital Banking page, and the mobile app before changing account access.

A wider problem becomes more plausible when several bank-provided channels fail at the same time or multiple users report the same behavior. An individual profile issue becomes more plausible when the public site and login form work normally but one established account cannot continue.

First Horizon provides a customer-support hub containing FAQs, contact options, and customer-service request routes.

Do this first: compare scope. Skip repeated credential changes when the problem appears across unrelated accounts or devices.

Once the normal Digital Banking form returns, use recovery only if the individual profile still fails.

Protected forms may request another sign-in

Some First Horizon customer-service requests lead to a page titled Before you continue.

That screen says the form is for customers and asks for a Digital Banking Username and Password. Empty submissions produce Please enter a value for Username and Please enter a value for Password. Customers without Digital Banking credentials are directed to a branch or 800-382-5465.

This can feel like the bank discarded the previous page or created a second account.

It is an authentication checkpoint for the selected customer request. Use the established Digital Banking profile there, not credentials from the mortgage portal, Corporate banking, or another First Horizon service.

A required-field message on this page also has a narrow meaning. It says the named field remains incomplete; it does not declare the profile invalid.

Identify the form first. Skip forcing the protected route when Digital Banking itself is unavailable.

Manage alerts from an authenticated session

First Horizon directs customers who want to stop or update text-alert preferences to sign in and open Settings – Manage Alerts. That section can be used to remove, change, or add a mobile device connected to alert preferences.

The bank also offers customized account alerts and Statements Online across computers, phones, and tablets.

These are post-login settings. They should not be confused with credential recovery.

A customer who enters Digital Banking successfully but cannot find an alert control should remain inside the authenticated settings workflow. Resetting the password is unlikely to make a missing menu appear.

An unexpected alert is different. First Horizon says customers should act when an email alert, push notification, or one-time passcode appears without an action that would have triggered it.

Stop ordinary troubleshooting when that happens. Return to First Horizon through an established route rather than interacting with the unexpected communication.

Use support according to the failed stage

First Horizon publishes 800-382-5465 on its general contact page. The direct Digital Banking page displays 800-511-9160 for Customer Care.

Use the route attached to the problem:

  • Digital Banking profile or recovery failure: Digital Banking Customer Care
  • General banking question: general customer service
  • Protected form without Digital Banking access: branch or the number shown on that screen
  • Routine written inquiry: questions-and-comments form
  • Suspicious activity: fraud-reporting channel
  • Mortgage application access: the mortgage portal’s own support control

First Horizon says its public questions-and-comments form is generally answered within one to two business days and directs customers who need faster service to call. The form accepts text rather than attachments.

When reporting a problem, state the selected service, device, browser, last screen that loaded, and whether the mobile app behaves differently.

“Personal Digital Banking loads, but the browser repeatedly leaves the User ID field blank” gives support a usable starting point. “First Horizon is broken” does not.

Treat suspicious activity separately

First Horizon directs customers with confirmed fraud or suspicious account activity to contact Client Services at 800-382-5465 or visit a branch. Suspicious emails or text messages appearing to come from the bank can be forwarded to phishing@firsthorizon.com.

Do not continue ordinary session troubleshooting when unfamiliar account activity is visible.

Do not use a login link or telephone number found only inside a suspicious communication. Open First Horizon manually or use contact information obtained from an established bank source.

Security takes priority. Browser testing can wait.

FDIC coverage follows the product

First Horizon identifies its banking products and services as provided by First Horizon Bank, Member FDIC. Its login areas can also route customers to trust, investment, mortgage, and other financial services.

Shared branding does not make every linked product an insured deposit.

Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation coverage applies to eligible deposits according to applicable limits and ownership categories. Read the disclosure connected to the exact product or service.
